Julian Date Calendar 2027 with Day-of-Year Numbers

How to read it

Each day box shows the date in its top-left corner as usual, and the day of the year in small grey figures in the top-right: 001 for 1 January, 032 for 1 February and 365 for 31 December 2027. The numbers always have three digits, the way date codes print them, so 7 January reads 007. The page opens on January to December and moves on to the next year in September; the holidays follow your browser’s country, as on the main calendar maker.

Where day-of-year dates turn up

• Egg cartons. Eggs packed under USDA grading carry a three-digit pack date, the day of the year they were washed, graded and packed, starting from 001 on 1 January (University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension, citing USDA). Most states require a pack date on other eggs too.
• Lot and batch codes. Manufacturers often stamp the year and the day number together, so 27032 or 7032 means 1 February 2027.
• Military supply. A MILSTRIP requisition document number carries a four-digit date in positions 7 to 10: the last digit of the year followed by the day of the year.
• Spreadsheets. In Excel or Google Sheets, =A1-DATE(YEAR(A1),1,0) turns the date in A1 into its day of the year.

Counting days with it

Day numbers make date arithmetic quick. From 1 February (day 032) to 1 April (day 091) in a common year is 91 − 32 = 59 days. Across New Year, count what is left of the old year first: from day 350 of a 365-day year to day 010 of the next is 15 + 10 = 25 days. In a leap year, anything after 28 February is one day later in the count.
