How to fill it in
- The calendar above opens with Fillable PDF and the notes box already ticked. Pick the start month, how many months, the paper and the holidays you want.
- Click Download PDF and open the file in a PDF viewer that fills in forms; an image viewer only shows the page.
- Click into a day and type. Each day is its own field, named with its date, so in most viewers Tab moves on to the next day in order.
- Print from the viewer. What you typed prints in near-black, in the box where you typed it.
Only the days of the month itself are fillable; the faded days from the previous and next month aren’t, so nothing gets typed twice. Each month’s notes box is one larger field for things without a date.
Which layout to pick
One month per page gives the biggest boxes: on landscape Letter paper each day is 1 to 1.2 inches tall and about 1.1 inches wide next to the notes column, room for four or five short lines. Untick the notes column and the days widen to about 1.4 inches. Two months per page halves the boxes and suits a binder, and four months per page is best for one or two words a day, like shift codes or who’s on the school run. Holiday names stay printed at the bottom of their day, and the typing area sits above them.
On a phone or tablet
On iPhone and iPad, open the PDF in Apple’s Preview app (iOS and iPadOS 26 and later), tap a day and type; on older versions, open it in Files and fill the boxes with Markup. On Android, the Google Drive app fills in PDF forms. Some phone previews only show the page, so if tapping a day box does nothing, switch to a PDF app that fills in forms, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Typing on a computer and printing from there is usually quickest.
For week numbers next to each row, see the calendar with week numbers; for bigger boxes on bigger paper, the 11 × 17 calendar. Any other setup starts from the calendar maker.
