Sehri and iftar in Luton
In Luton the whole question is Fajr. Iftar is sunset in every Sunni method, 17:02 on Monday 8 February 2027 and 17:55 by day 30, but the end of sehri can move by 40 minutes depending on the convention. With the 18° this page opens with, sehri ends at 05:35 on the first day and 04:38 on the last. All times are GMT, since British Summer Time starts after Eid.
Two very different Fajr times
The page opens with the Muslim World League convention: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, Isha at 17°. That puts the end of sehri earlier than 15° or 12° do, so it is the cautious choice if you don’t know what your masjid uses.
It is not what every Luton masjid prints. We compared the table with the year-round prayer calendar Luton Islamic Centre publishes on Mawaqit, read for February and March and checked in September 2026. Its sunrise, Asr and Maghrib agree with this page within two minutes (it prints Maghrib a minute or two after sunset). But its Fajr and Isha follow 12°, the convention of the Union des Organisations Islamiques de France: Fajr about 40 minutes later than at 18° in February, and Isha about half an hour earlier than at 17°. Between those two sit 15° (ISNA), about 20 minutes after the 18° time, and the Moonsighting Committee’s seasonal tables.
A difference that large is a question of which convention your masjid follows, not a rounding error. Check the first days of its timetable against the table above and pick the method that matches; fine-tune the last minute or two under Adjust to match your mosque.
Start of Ramadan
Luton masjids, like others in Britain, don’t all begin on the same day. Luton’s sunset and Fajr are within a minute of the London timetable on most days. If yours starts on Tuesday 9 February 2027, choose that under First day of Ramadan. Then download the PDF or add the 60 sehri and iftar times to your phone’s calendar.
