Sehri and iftar in Dhaka
Dhaka lies just south of the Tropic of Cancer, so the fasting day changes little through Ramadan 2027. On Monday 8 February 2027, the first day in the Umm al-Qura calendar, sehri ends at 05:19 and iftar is at 17:49, 12 h 30 m of fasting. On day 30 sehri ends at 04:59 and iftar is at 18:05, 13 h 06 m. Bangladesh keeps one time zone (UTC+6) and no daylight saving time.
This page uses the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr and Isha at 18°) and Hanafi Asr, the convention followed in Bangladesh. Printed schedules in Bangladesh usually end sehri a few minutes before Fajr for safety; to show that, open More options and add an Imsak column, or set a Fajr adjustment to match your mosque’s schedule exactly.
Choosing the first day
Bangladesh’s National Moon Sighting Committee announces the start after its meeting on 29 Sha’ban, and Bangladesh has often begun Ramadan a day after Saudi Arabia. Once the start is announced, choose that date under First day of Ramadan and the table, the PDF and the calendar file all follow. The first tarawih is on the evening before the first fast.
For another district, search for its main town at the top of the tool. East–west differences inside Bangladesh are several minutes, so a Dhaka timetable isn’t right for Sylhet or Rajshahi.
