Sehri and iftar in Dewsbury
Dewsbury is about 13 km south-east of Bradford, and its sun keeps almost the same hours: sunrise and sunset within a minute of the Bradford timetable all month. So this page opens the same way, with Fajr and Isha at 18° below the horizon (the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi convention) and Hanafi Asr. Sehri ends at 05:40 and iftar is at 17:02 GMT on the first day, Monday 8 February 2027; by day 30 the fast has grown from 11 h 22 m to 13 h 20 m.
Checked against Madni Masjid’s calendar
We typed in the Ramadan 2026 timetable Madni Masjid in Dewsbury published and compared it day by day:
- Sunrise agrees within two minutes on most days, but is 3 to 4 minutes off from 22 to 26 February. Asr, printed for the Hanafi school, agrees within three minutes.
- Subha (Fajr) is 9 to 14 minutes later than the 18° time on this page. The masjid prints its own Sehri column 10 minutes before its Subha, so its sehri reminder lands close to our Fajr.
- Maghrib, from the masjid’s jama’at column, is 3 to 6 minutes after sunset.
- Isha is earlier than 18° by 25 minutes or more.
So the page ends sehri earlier than the masjid’s Fajr, never later, and iftar is at sunset, a few minutes before the masjid’s Maghrib jama’at. To print the masjid’s own times, open More options and, under Adjust to match your mosque, enter the differences you see for Fajr, Maghrib and Isha in the first few days; everything after follows. The PDF and the phone calendar file use your adjusted times.
Which day to start
Madni Masjid’s 2026 timetable began on 18 February 2026, that year’s Umm al-Qura date; this page starts on Monday 8 February 2027, the Umm al-Qura date for 2027. Masjids in Dewsbury and Batley don’t all follow the same announcement, so if yours begins on Tuesday 9 February 2027, choose that under First day of Ramadan before printing.
