Sehri and iftar in Glasgow
Glasgow, at 55.9° north, is 4° of latitude further north than London, and that shows in Ramadan 2027: the first fast, 11 h 14 m from 05:51 to 17:05, is a little shorter than London’s, and the last, 13 h 23 m from 04:45 to 18:08, is longer, because the days here lengthen faster. The whole month is in GMT: British Summer Time starts after Eid.
Which convention the page uses
The table opens with Fajr and Isha at 18° below the horizon (the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi convention) and standard Asr. We checked it against the Ramadan 2026 timetable of Glasgow Central Mosque: its Fajr matches this to within a minute on every day, and both of its Asr columns (Mithl 1 and Mithl 2, standard and Hanafi here) agree within two minutes. It prints sunrise about 4 minutes earlier than the sun rises and Iftar about 6 minutes after sunset, margins of safety, and advises stopping eating a couple of minutes before Fajr begins. The mosque says it publishes these Ramadan times for the Glasgow area specifically, because its year-round timetable covers a wider area with more precaution.
To copy that precaution, open More options and, under Adjust to match your mosque, set Maghrib to +6; add an Imsak column if you want a sehri reminder before Fajr, as the mosque prints one 5 minutes before.
Most other Glasgow calendars use a later Fajr
Glasgow Central Mosque is in the minority on Fajr. In September 2026, eight of the ten Glasgow-area mosques on Mawaqit (Al-Furqan, Dawatul Islam, Glasgow Mena Trust, Community Masjid, Bishopbriggs Islamic Community Centre, Masjid Bilal, the university’s Muslim Students’ Association and one more) showed the same year-round calendar, with Fajr 19 to 24 minutes after the Central Mosque’s in February and March, close to the 15° time. Only two, among them Woodfarm Education Centre, matched the 18° time. Their sunrise times run 1 to 6 minutes before ours, depending on the mosque, and its Maghrib 4 to 7 minutes after sunset.
So on this page’s 18° default you stop eating about 20 minutes earlier than most Glasgow calendars say, which errs on the side of caution. If your mosque uses the later time, choose Islamic Society of North America (ISNA, 15°) as the method: it comes within a couple of minutes of that shared calendar, and a Fajr adjustment closes the rest.
When Ramadan starts in Scotland
The table starts on Monday 8 February 2027, the Umm al-Qura date, but mosques in Scotland don’t all begin on the same day. If your mosque begins on Tuesday 9 February 2027, pick it under First day of Ramadan and every date moves, in the table, the PDF and the calendar file.
