How to make a UPI keychain

      1. The easiest way: take a screenshot of your QR code in Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM and drop it into Import, open on this page. The code is read on your device.
      2. Or edit the example text: replace yourname@okaxis with your UPI ID and Your%20Name with your name (%20 is a space).
      3. The keychain base and a UPI caption are set. For a shop counter, choose the Plate base and print it 80 mm wide.
      4. Scan the preview with a UPI app before printing, and check that your own name appears.

The format comes from NPCI’s UPI linking specification. pa is the payee address (your UPI ID), pn the payee name, cu the currency (INR), and optional fields add the amount (am) and a note (tn). Apps show the name from the bank, not only from the code, which is why checking your own scan matters.

A printed keychain survives pockets and rain better than a laminated card, and at 50 mm a short UPI code still has modules big enough to print cleanly.

      Keychain or counter stand

A keychain suits delivery riders, auto drivers and street vendors, who carry their QR code with them. For a shop counter, switch the base to Plate, add your shop’s name as the caption, and print it at 80 to 100 mm wide so customers can scan it from where they stand.
