How the tree illusion works
The preview holds on the tree, then swings up and over it: the canopy and trunk break apart into floating cubes, and from straight above they snap into a QR code. Press Picture or QR code to jump between the two views, or drag the model around to see the cubes in between.
It works because the two views share one direction (left to right) and never compete for the same face of a cube. Each cube’s front shows one pixel of the tree, and its top one square of the code. The generator places every cube so both views are complete, with the code’s dark squares in forest green here.
Make it yours
- Type the link the code should open.
- Keep the oak tree, or pick another picture: the gallery has trees, flowers, scenes and famous paintings, and you can type any emoji.
- Detail sets how many cubes make each square of the code: Ultra gives the finest tree.
- Share it with Share result, put it on your site with Embed this 3D code (visitors can switch between the tree and the code), or save the QR code view as a PNG.
