Picking a cute kaomoji
The faces here are grouped by their look, so you can choose the style that matches your message:
- Sparkly or big eyes:
(◕ᴗ◕✿),(。◕‿◕。)and(✧ω✧)are wide-eyed and bright, good for excitement or a compliment. - Blushing:
( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )and(˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)have little marks on the cheeks. They read as shy, flattered or happily embarrassed, and they are the “uwu” faces many people look for. - Soft and sleepy:
(˘ω˘)and(*˘︶˘*)have closed eyes and a relaxed mouth: content, cosy, a little dreamy. - Playful:
(。•̀ᴗ-)✧winks, and(๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭcheers with a raised fist.
Where the cute parts come from
Cute faces borrow from many writing systems. ω is the Greek letter omega. ᴗ and ᵔ are letters from the phonetic alphabets linguists use. ﻭ is an Arabic letter form, and ๑ is the Thai digit one, which sits beside the face like a blush or a curl of hair. The flower ✿ is a printers’ ornament from the dingbats. Knowing this helps when a face looks off in one app: the odd one out is usually the borrowed letter, drawn by a different font from the rest.
Building your own set
Pick three or four favourites and copy them one after another; the Recently copied box keeps them together at the top. From there, Copy all pastes them as one line, and Share result sends a friend a link that opens exactly those faces. For hearts and stars to decorate around a face, open the heart symbols page.
