Three kinds of sparkle
- Throwing glitter:
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧and(ノ´ヮ`)ノ*:・゚☆raise both arms and toss a trail of stars, for celebrating good news or hyping a friend. - Casting a spell:
(∩^o^)⊃━☆゚.*・。゚and(*^ω^)⊃━☆゚.*・。゚point a star-tipped wand, for wishing someone luck or “making it happen”. - Sparkly cheering:
✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧and✧*。٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و✧*。raise two fists between stars; the ٩ and و arms are Arabic-script characters chosen for their shape.
The rest are frames and faces with stars for eyes: (☆ω☆) is starstruck, and ˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ and ⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆ are borders for a name or a short line of text.
Using them in bios and captions
Sparkle faces sit well at the end of a line, where the trail of glitter has room. In a bio, put a border around your name or one short line rather than every line, so it stays readable. Many sparkles use halfwidth Japanese marks, which are narrower than regular characters, so a face can look tighter in your app than in the grid above; that is normal.
Mixing with emoji
The ✨ emoji (sparkles) can sit next to a kaomoji, but it is drawn in color and larger than the text around it. For a lighter look that matches your text color, use ✧ or ☆ from these faces instead. More single stars and sparkle symbols are on the star symbols page.
