How to play
Sit in a circle and take turns. On your turn press Spin (or Space). The wheel lands on a prompt starting with Truth or Dare: answer the truth honestly, or do the dare right away. Then pass the phone or the remote to the next player. The prompts alternate around the wheel, so truths and dares come up equally often: 12 of each, a 1 in 24 chance for any one prompt per spin.
House rules worth agreeing first
- Passes. Give everyone one or two passes for the whole game. A pass skips the prompt without a penalty.
- No repeats. Set winners to Hide under Options and a used prompt leaves the wheel; Put all back brings them all back for another round.
- Time limit. Thirty seconds to start a dare, or the turn moves on.
- Anyone can stop. If a player is uncomfortable, the prompt is skipped, no questions asked. A game is only fun if everyone wants to keep playing.
Writing your own prompts
Every line in the entries box is one slice. Start a line with “Truth:” or “Dare:” so the result reads clearly in the pop-up, and keep each under about 40 characters so it fits on its slice. Good prompts are about the people in the room and things they can do on the spot. For a party with a theme, such as a birthday or a holiday, add a few prompts about it. The Truth or dare preset on the main wheel has just the two words, if you’d rather ask your own questions out loud.
Bigger groups and teams
With more than eight players, split into two teams and let each team pick one member to answer each spin. The Teams tab on the main wheel can split a list of names into teams at random before you start.
