Run a wins pool with the wheel
In a wins pool each player owns a few teams and scores one point for every game those teams win during the regular season. The draft is the part people argue about, and a wheel settles it:
- Open Options and set When a winner is picked to Hide, so a team can only be dealt once.
- Go round the group in order, one spin each, until the wheel is empty. Eight players get four teams each; with a number that doesn’t divide 32, stop when everyone has the same count and leave the rest out.
- Copy the list from the Results tab into your group chat, so the draft is on record before kickoff.
The same steps run a Madden franchise challenge, where each friend has to rebuild whatever team the wheel gives them.
The league at a glance
The NFL has 32 teams: 16 in the AFC and 16 in the NFC, each conference split into East, North, South and West divisions of four. The Teams tab can deal the league into eight random groups of four, which makes a quick “new divisions” game for a fantasy league or a classroom.
A few facts worth knowing before you spin: the Houston Texans are the newest franchise (first season 2002), the Raiders are the most recent team to move (Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020), and the Washington Commanders took their current name in 2022. Both New York teams play in New Jersey, and both Los Angeles teams share one stadium.
For game day itself, a Super Bowl squares board gives every guest a stake in the score.
