Weights and colors

Add *3 after a name to make its slice three times bigger (three times as likely), or *0.5 for half (weights go up to 100). Add a hex color such as #e63946 to color one slice. Example: Grand prize *0.5 #f4c542. *0 keeps a line but leaves it off the wheel.

Spin for MLB The Show and other challenges

  • Franchise and Road to the Show. Spin for the club you’ll manage or the team your player debuts with, and play the season you’re dealt.
  • Ballpark trips. Spin for the next stadium on your list, then hide it from the wheel once you’ve been, so the wheel shrinks as your list grows. Check the club’s home first: the Athletics play in West Sacramento until their Las Vegas park opens, and the Rays are back at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg in 2026 after a season away while its hurricane-damaged roof was repaired.
  • Postseason pools. Twelve teams make the October field. Keep only those lines on the wheel and deal them out to your group, one spin per person.

How the teams line up

Major League Baseball has 30 clubs in two leagues of 15. The American League’s divisions are the AL East, AL Central and AL West; the National League has the same three. The Toronto Blue Jays are the only club outside the United States, and three areas have two teams each: New York (Yankees and Mets), Chicago (Cubs and White Sox) and Los Angeles (Dodgers and the Angels, who play in Anaheim). The newest clubs, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Rays, both played their first season in 1998, and the most recent new name is Cleveland’s: the Indians became the Guardians after the 2021 season.

To spin one league, delete the other league’s 15 lines. To split all 30 teams into six random groups of five, use the Teams tab, a quick way to make up divisions for a fantasy league or a classroom game.
