The cats on this page
- Cat face: the classic three-liner, ears on top,
o.oeyes,> ^ <whiskers and nose. It is the one that survives almost any app. - Sitting cat: a face with whiskers
=( Y )=over a body and two front paws. - Cat loaf: a round cat with its paws tucked under, eyes closed.
- Cat peeking over a wall: head and paws over a line of bricks, for “hello?” or “is it safe?”.
- Sleeping cat: stretched out, with
z zfloating above. - Cat with a heart: a happy cat next to a small heart, for birthdays and thank-yous.
Sizes, from smallest to largest
The cat face is 3 rows and 7 characters wide. The sitting cat, the loaf, the peeking cat and the cat with a heart are all 5 rows, from 8 to 15 characters wide, and the sleeping cat is the widest at 16 characters over 4 rows. All of them fit a phone screen held upright. If a reply box is very narrow, pick the face or the sitting cat.
Making a cat your own
Because each drawing is just rows of characters, small edits are easy: give the sleeping cat a ♥ instead of z z, put a name on the wall of the peeking cat (keep the bricks the same length), or add a second cat face beside the first for a pair. For single-line cats to drop into a sentence, like (=^・ω・^=) or ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ, see the cat kaomoji. To add your cat’s name in big letters under the picture, open the big letters generator.
