Halloween bingo is word bingo with a spooky list: the caller names a Halloween thing, players mark it if it’s on their card, and the first full row, column or diagonal wins. On these cards a bat sits over Bat and a bubbling pot over Cauldron, so preschoolers play by matching shapes while their older siblings read.
When the players are too young to read
Call the word and hold up the caller sheet’s slip for it: each cut-out slip carries the same picture as the cards. On a classroom screen, the Call the game tab shows the picture large with the word under it, so children can look for the shape on their card without waiting for a grown-up to point. If 24 squares are still a lot for a group, switch the card size to the small grid: eight pictures around a free square in the middle.
Choosing your words
The list mixes the cute (Owl, Black cat, Candy corn) with the creepy (Zombie, Werewolf). Two edits cover most groups:
- For a party of toddlers, take out the creepiest five, as the FAQ above lists.
- For picture-only cards, take out Costume, Candy bag and Corn maze, the three words that print without a drawing.
Words you add get a picture too when the generator has one and no other word on the list already uses it; the line under Pictures above the words counts how many have one. Words with no picture print as text in the middle of their square.
Markers and prizes
Candy corn and small wrapped candies make markers that suit the theme, though a few will vanish before the game ends; plastic spider rings work and can be the prize afterwards. Play a first game for a line, then a blackout round to fill the end of a party.
Carving after the game? The pumpkin stencil maker turns a photo or a name into a carving pattern. Next month’s Thanksgiving bingo cards use the same pictures for the kids’ table.

When you reload, this page goes back to the set-up described here, with the same card set code, so printing again gives the same cards. The number of cards, the paper size and, where this page doesn’t set them, cards per page and color are remembered from the generator. To keep an edited list, use Share result, or start from the bingo card generator, which remembers everything.
