A ready-made Thanksgiving menu to sign up for
This sheet opens with a full Thanksgiving dinner already divided into 24 spots: three appetizers, the turkey and a ham, eight sides, four desserts, three drinks and four supply runs. Every dish prints in grey in its own row, so guests can see at a glance that the stuffing is taken but nobody has claimed the gravy yet. It prints with autumn leaves and pumpkins along the top and a notes column for allergens or serving sizes.
Thanksgiving in 2026 is on Thursday, November 26. Add your own date, time and place under the title; if your gathering is a Friendsgiving, a church supper or a workplace lunch the week before, just change the title.
Adjusting the menu for your crowd
The list is a starting point. Count the households coming and aim for about that many spots, since each usually brings one dish:
- Small group (5–8 households): drop Appetizers, keep the turkey with the host, and cut Sides to four and Desserts to two.
- Big family or office (15+ households): add spots to Sides and Desserts rather than adding more mains, and keep a few Supplies spots for people who don’t cook.
- Vegetarian guests: add a spot like Stuffed squash or Mushroom wellington to Mains, and ask for meat-free gravy in the note.
Swap any suggestion by editing its line, and leave a line empty to make an open spot.
On the day
Put the printed sheet somewhere everyone passes (the fridge, the break room, the church notice board) with a pen on a string. If people reply by text instead, open the Sign-up checklist and type their names; then reprint with the names filled in, so the gaps are obvious a week before the dinner.
