Avery 5160 is the classic 30-per-sheet address label: three columns of ten labels, each 2⅝ inches wide and 1 inch tall, on US Letter paper. This page opens with the 5160 layout selected and a short list of EAN-13 numbers (GS1’s demonstration prefix 952) with product names and copies, so the first PDF you download is a real, printable sheet.
Filling the sheet
Replace the list with your own: one barcode per line, optionally followed by a comma, the text to print above it, another comma and the number of copies. The generator fills the labels left to right, top to bottom, and starts a new page after 30. If some labels on your sheet are used, set Start at label to the first free one.
Getting the alignment right
Print one page on plain paper first with Print label outlines ticked, hold it against a label sheet over a window or a light, and check the outlines match the die cuts. Print at 100% or Actual size: “Fit to page” shrinks everything by a few percent, which moves the bottom rows off their labels and changes the bar widths. If your printer shifts everything by a millimetre or two, the Custom grid option lets you nudge the margins.
Barcode size on a 1-inch label
The block below shows what the page does with the example on this sheet: the module width stays at GS1’s 0.33 mm, so bars and spaces keep their proportions, and the bars are shortened to fit the label with a 2 mm margin. For product codes that must scan at a checkout, a taller label keeps the full height.
