A 6 team bracket sits inside an 8-line draw: seeds 1 and 2 skip the first round, while 3 v 6 and 4 v 5 play for the two semifinal spots that are left. Type the six names in ranking order and the bracket places them for you; the summary line shows 5 games and 2 byes.
How the six lines fill
| Game | Matchup | Winner plays |
|---|---|---|
| Opening game A | Seed 4 v seed 5 | Seed 1 in a semifinal |
| Opening game B | Seed 3 v seed 6 | Seed 2 in a semifinal |
| Final | Semifinal winners |
The bye boxes are drawn with a dashed border and the top seeds already sit in the semifinal, so nobody has to remember who skips a round. Pick the two opening winners first, then the semifinals and the final.
Planning the day
With one court or table, five games run back to back; with two, the opening games and then the semifinals can be played side by side, so the event takes three time slots instead of five. The top seeds rest during the opening round, which suits a casual cup where the strongest teams are also the ones you want to see in the final.
When the seeds are unknown
If nobody has a ranking, press Shuffle names before you start: the shuffled order becomes the seeding, and the two byes land on whoever comes out first. Print the result with Download PDF so the draw is on paper before the first game, or tick Blank bracket for an empty 6-team sheet to fill in by hand.
