A Christmas quiz that’s ready to play
This page opens with a full Christmas board: five categories, 25 questions from 100 to 500 points, one wager square and a final round. Press Play this board, name your teams, and the first question is one click away. It works for a classroom on the last day before the break, an office party or a family evening with the TV as the game screen.
How to run it
- Teams and buzzers. Under Teams & buzzers, give each team a name. Teams buzz with their own key on the keyboard, or with a game controller you pair with 🎮 Pair. A family with two controllers and a keyboard can play three teams.
- The screen. Press Full screen to fill the TV or projector, or Presenter window to keep the answers on your laptop while the room sees only the board.
- The questions. Click a square, read the question aloud, and the first team to buzz answers. Correct adds the points, Wrong takes them away and lets the other teams try.
- Calendars, the last question. Once all 25 squares are gone, the category “Calendars” appears on its own. Teams scribble how many of their points they’ll risk, see the question about Orthodox Christmas, and hand you their written answers before you reveal it.
Make it yours
The board is a starting point. Swap in questions about your own family, school or team (“Which teacher wore the reindeer jumper last year?”), lower the difficulty of the bottom row for younger players, or add a sixth category. Save to my boards keeps your version, and Share board link sends the whole board to a co-host, answers included, so keep that link away from the players.
Reading the scores
Scores show under the board all game, and the team that buzzed lights up in its colour. A team can go below zero after wrong answers; in the final round a team with zero or less bets nothing, so it can’t lose more. At the end, Share result sends the final scoreboard as a link.
